The income is not the problem. The problem is how little we get to keep.
In the 50's the tax burden was in the 20% range, today it is close to 50%.
Mom isn't home because she had to go to work to make up the difference.

If you want to start restoring families, cut taxes drastically. Every 
across the board
tax cut allows more mothers to stay home.

As many people have correctly pointed out, parental involvement is the key to
improving children's educational performance.
