Yes, it's true I'm a guy testosterone and all (see Jonathans last post so
you don't think I'm crazy)
Darn , and here I thought I could get more in touch with my feminine side ;)
Since I'm posting a couple of end of year notes and thank you to our
clients......
I would like to start a new thread on AZIPA, (just over the new year
weekend)
It's the end of the week or better yet the millennium,
and we have never done an introduce yourself blatant Spam day.
I'm sure we all want to grow our businesses for the new
year so, I suggest we speak to our accomplishments for this year and what we
want for the new year.
I hope I'm not to forward in going first, but I have never been accused of
being shy.
So here goes......
1. We survived!
2. We are starting to make some Money :) (no it's not enough but hey we feel
good )
3. http://www.Scootercraze.com ended at about 185K (a little light) but a
really good lesson
in toy marketing, and well....it's all paid for now. Breakeven in any
business in
2 months is nothing to be ashamed about, let's just hope scooters sell for
another year.
4. http://www.DirecTVFree.com had a forced domain name change to
http://www.DigitalSatelliteFree.com but it's still selling
systems like gangbusters! (could be one of the highlights of the year)
5. http://www.StarbandDirect.com is finally shipping and we are rocking!!! 2
way high speed Internet from Satellite is
being very very good to us ;)
6. http://www.PreRegisterYourDomains.com is so much better then I ever
anticipated, whoever said the sale of domain names is overdone was wrong.
7. http://www.InternetRegistration.com is a wonderful little business with
over 4,000 affiliates making 20% commissions and growing. For $19.50 domain
names and our management console (I don't think we can be beat) Of course
for those of you who disagree we are about to launch a bulk site at $13.50
and a redesign.
8. Clients (don't you just love them)

to be #2

is really cool
y) http://www.Marshalco.com need trailer tires ?
z) http://www.YoungsRV.com it's not as big as when we did
http://www.BeaudryRV.com but it's selling motor homes.
wow there are at least 20 others and 10 misfits that failed for various
reasons and 400 hosting customers that we always seem to be fixing
something on.
My favorite is still the Bill Gates Biotech Genome cartoon
http://www.onlinemarketing.net/cartoon/bill.html
It's not bad year for a little shop of 10-12 in a town where no one believes
tech companies can thrive.
It looks like January is going to be booked up as well (Thank g-d)
The best one looks like it will be our new business called
CallSupportNow.com, where we will be the largest
fixed cost, technical support/Helpdesk card membership program business on
the web. The idea is simple you or your company buy a card for each employee
for $16.99 per month and anytime you have a computer or software problem on
over 200 applications you call 24/7 and get immediate unlimited support. We
are going to be the HMO of Help Desks.
I'm waiting on a really cool store (hope to find out soon), and we will
launch our contests businesses and hopefully become one of the largest
opt-in e-mail marketers on the web as well as our DVD Players store.
well at the end of the day, we created over 7 million dollars in sales
online for our clients and or partner businesses.
(Wish I knew where that money was now) We still have done it all out of cash
flow and believe me there were weeks when paychecks were late (we got
screwed for about 200K) and some of us even took an occasional vacation.
Am I glad we picked the web to feed our families? I'll let you know late
next year it's all up to Greenspan.
As Jonathan said a very successful Tucson internet entrepreneur with a
cheerful (and forgiving) outlook and several thriving
businesses well....I agree with the cheerful (and forgiving), several
thriving (hey this year with this stock market I'm just happy to start
catching up on the bills...successful well not entirely yet, but all of us
are working on it.
It still would be better to win the Powerball.
My hope for the new year, someone actually decides to join in and fight the
good fight with some investment dollars so we can grow to our full
potential.
Oh yeah, send work, buy a satellite, host with us, buy a domain name, bring
me Pastrami ;)
Happy New Year everyone, I look forward to your posts.

I will not place an incorrect gender on a name and post it even though it
was to congratulate said person on a really effective Flash site.
Marlo Newman is indeed a dude...a very successful Tucson internet
entrepreneur with a cheerful (and forgiving) outlook and several thriving
businesses. He's a frequent and valuable contributor to the discussion
list...and I owe him a manly beer at the next AZIPA meeting.
May this be my last social faux paux of the year.
